For cars, trucks, now a days additional  brake lights are used to improve security in the sense of being seen ealyer by the human eye. With these thoughts i have ad a second brake light to my scooter.

The additional brake light consists 5 power led's. Here is deliberately chosen because of the high output. The light output is huge because the amount of light is focused through 5 distinct narrow smooth reflectors. So every power led has its own reflector. The consumption is very low. If the brake is activated, the additional brake light instantly light up at full strength.

The original brake light is an duplo light bulb of 5/21 watts. Since incandescent lights are slower to light up, there is a range effect on the brake light to the human eye because it’s immediately noticed. By the humen eye.

The case is also equipped with 2 led strips which have 2 functions

1e. . . . Running Light (red)
2e. . . . Adding extra brake light

Controls

The running light function is obtained through an electronic circuit to reduce the light intensity so that in the dark at a greater distance the light intensity is still clearly visible

The resistor is mounted in the cable with heat shrink process.

Diagram

As the diagram shows, switch S1 turns on the led strips through a predetermined resistor value R1 (1 Watt) The running light effect is hereby created. The higher the resistor value the lower the light intensity. If the brake light switch is activated S1 will be bridged and the led light strips light up at full brightness. If S1 is not enabled, the led strips will work as an additional extra brake light and light up at full brightness.
